The advantages of planting a tree are assorted. Trees produce oxygen; purify the air by removing the main greenhouse gases - Carbon Dioxide and Carbon Monoxide; help in reduction of pollution; prevent soil erosion and flooding, and provide us with numerous necessities such as food, shelter and medicines. Trees also play a very important part in sustaining and enhancing biological diversity of the planet.
SIWA is planning to start a project ‘Adopt a Tree’ in the year 2018 with the mission of promoting plantation of native species. Since its launch, the SIWA is going to provide all citizens an opportunity to nurture a tree to life. SIWA encourage individuals, communities, corporate entities, schools, as well as other organizations to involve themselves in this Project.SIWA is planning to provide tree saplings free of charge, with only one commitment- “Love the tree until the leaves fall off and give hope and encourage to flourish it back.We invite you to support this mission by collecting a free tree sapling from us and pledging to nurture it into a tree. We shall assist you with the whole process of plantation.
A tree says: My strength is trust. I know nothing about my father, I know nothing about the thousand children that every year spring out of me. I live out the secret of my seed to the very end, and I care for nothing else. I trust that God is in me. I trust that my labor is holy. Out of this trust I live. . SIWA shall create a database of the saplings distributed and do periodical follow-ups to keep track of the trees.
